Raising the Floor – International (RtF)

Raising the Floor (RtF) is an international coalition of individuals and organizations based out of Geneva Switzerland, and focused on ensuring that those who have access barriers due to disability, literacy or aging are able to access the Internet, Education, and ICT effectively, even if they have very limited or no financial resources. RtF has five major program areas: (a) Needs and Numbers - Building a resource of needs and population information, (b) Solutions MasterList - Building a "Master List" of techniques and strategies along with research on them, (c) Challenges - Challenges around digital inclusion that recruit innovative responses especially in education, (d) The GPII - Creating a Global Public Inclusive Infrastructure (RtF’s major core program) and (e) Celebrating floor-raising efforts - Highlighting, and celebrating efforts that address digital inclusion

RtF shares responsibility for the development of the following project deliverables with the University College Dublin: WP2: Alternative e-Access Accessibility Guidelines. RtF shares responsibility for the development of the following project deliverables with the University of Girona: WP1 Alternative e-Access Framework – Technical Infrastructures Integration, Support and Maintenance.
